My Front Porch

The front porch is my special place

Protected from the rain

Letting sun rays warm my face

I love the fresh air

Chipmunks zooming about

Breezes blowing my golden hair

Kids next door are loud

Cut grass tickles my nose

Shadows emerge under the cloud

Birds sing and fly up the tree

Amazon man delivers a box

The furry rabbit runs free

Mom’s car is gone for the day

A big truck picks up our trash

White lilacs have blown away

Humans and their dogs walk by

My dad says hello

I bark goodbye

Must go inside now

First a pee on the tree

Sleep till it’s time for chow
